When the American Academy of Pediatrics reviewed the literature on organic foods in 2012, they found that "current evidence does not support any meaningful nutritional benefits or deficits from eating organic compared with conventionally grown foods, and there are no well-powered human studies that directly demonstrate health benefits or disease protection as a result of consuming an organic diet."

Really good article, I love it. I have recently begun to question whether this with calories in and out is really true? I recently read about a guy (Sam Felthman, google him) that ate a ridiculous amount calories for 21 days and even though he went up 1.3kg he also reduced waist circumference by 3 cm. He did this on a low carb high fat diet. When he did the same with a standard diet (read crap diet) he gained a lot more, I can’t find the link now but I think it was something like 6-7kg with the same amount of calories. This makes me believe that what you eat affect your body more then the amount of calories. I would love to hear what your opinion is on this?
